It's amazing to me that women pursue higher education and professional careers in such greater numbers and yet still boys are given a free pass to behave as "traditional" men. It seems like some of the violence issue could be addressed with a more progressive attitude toward gender roles on the part of men. This seems to be a common denominator in many parts of the world throughout human history.
