National Media Conference-Day One

Busy day as we opened the National Media Conference at the Chingis Hotel, which is the largest of the downtown hotels, but across town.  After a full day of lecturing, all of us who are participating in the speeches got together and spent some time organizing for tomorrow. I just got home and thought I should post before I fix a chow mein microwave dinner. Also. one g&t, if you please.

The above pics are of the U.N. Resident Coordinator for Mongolia who gave the opening address, and the second shot is of the 150 plus crowd of journalists, wembers of Parliament, editors and media owners who are in attendance.  And so it goes...

  1. It's amazing to me that women pursue higher education and professional careers in such greater numbers and yet still boys are given a free pass to behave as "traditional" men. It seems like some of the violence issue could be addressed with a more progressive attitude toward gender roles on the part of men. This seems to be a common denominator in many parts of the world throughout human history.
